- 2-3 chicken breasts
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Garlic powder, to taste
- Onion powder, to taste
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 4-5 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil, chopped (optional)
👨🍳 Instructions
1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker and spread them out evenly.
2. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
3. For better flavor, sear the seasoned chicken in a hot pan, then return it to the slow cooker.
4. In a bowl, whisk together the 1 1/2 cups chicken broth and 3 tbsp cornstarch.
5. Add the 1 tsp Italian seasoning, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1/2 tsp paprika, and 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes to the broth mixture and whisk to combine.
6. Pour the sauce mixture into the slow cooker.
7. Stir in the 4-5 chopped garlic cloves.
8. Sprinkle the 1/3 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes over the chicken.
9. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
10. When the chicken is fully cooked and tender, remove it carefully.
11. Stir the 1 cup heavy cream and 1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese into the sauce in the slow cooker.
12. Return the chicken to the sauce.
13. Sprinkle with fresh chopped basil if using, then serve.
